These days, we are doing lot of development work in WordPress.. and infact, we are using WordPress as CMS for many of our sites.
In the earlier development phase, we started with Textpattern, then we moved to modx (At this point of time, we were using WordPress just for the blogs) but after WordPress 2.7 we have actively started using WordPress as CMS. We tried Joomla and Drupal but for us, WordPress was the way to go as it allowed us to stretch it as we wanted.. (Though Textpattern and modx too allowed us but WordPress community is more active, more plugins and more advanced)
The recent examples include, website for the band Raghu Dixit Project and for artist management firm called Only Much Louder.
Our work mainly included slicing up the designed files, create neatly coded HTML files and WordPress integration. We have used custom fields for some of the blocks and also used some plugins to display required output. (e.g. Twitter tweets)
We have couple of WordPress based sites in the pipeline which includes, heavy AJAX usage and modifications.. we will put them up here at the right time
We are going to cover more portfolio sites in this category in the course of time..
That’s about it..

Yeah, I have been using WordPress as a CMS for all the sites I develop for my part time job.
The professors find it easy to use, and once i have an xhtml version ready, its easy to port too. Plus the fact that the design is just a theme..helps!
Looking at sites you have listed, I can’t tell if its WordPress. Till now i have look at WP as a blogging tool.
But, now i would dig deeper
Have you’ll ever considered using a framework like codeigniter or akelos ? Or perhaps building you’re own framework ? Just wondering.
So far, we have been using our own custom classes but we have started using CodeIgniter.
We are thinking of using CakePHP for large applications. But so far we are pretty much impressed with the power of CodeIgniter.
@Deep
I was wondering if you have tried Django?
I have heard great words about this project
Till now we haven’t tried it as we are into PHP only.. we will use it once we start exploring other languages.. (in this case python)
Nice to hear
I will be playing around with CodeIgniter soon. Yeah I have heard CakePHP is big and powerful.
Oh btw I agree with Gaurish – looking at those sites you can’t make out WordPress is running behind the scenes. Keep up the good work
Nice to see an Indian web design company producing good stuff

Looking at sites you have listed, I can’t tell if its WordPress. Till now i have look at WP as a blogging tool.
Only issue with WP is that there are lot of 0day exploits, from what i see both of those sites are using a older version which is vulnerable.
Btw, you got a nice portfolio
hi…deep… it’s really impressive..
do you design wordpress themes or just customizing the themes?? As designing such way is not much easy..i think so..
Can you give some tips on wordpress customization?
humm its a pleasure if you reply for wordpress tips..
by the way.. nice portfolio…
Hi Vrunda,
We are into design as well as development of WordPress themes.
There are no specific tips for the customization but WordPress Codex and support forums are the most helpful places for WordPress issues.
Good luck,
Deep
